Rapha: The Past Forward Exhibition

At London's historic Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, Rapha presents a retrospective exhibition mapping their journey and vision, from founding milestones to future cycling innovations.

CELEBRATING THE JOURNEY
The scene at the Truman Brewery last season felt electric. Since 2004, Rapha has been redefining cycling culture, and their Past Forward exhibition packed those twenty years of rebellion into one charged space. You could feel it everywhere – from the immersive installations to the buzz of riders gathering for group rides and exclusive releases.

BREAKING NEW GROUND

There was Lachlan Morton's mud-caked gear from his solo Tour de France attempt next to black-and-white shots of Rapha Condor shaking up British racing in '07. Now it's Team AMANI's turn, bringing fresh energy from Kenya's gravel roads to cycling's main stage. This is how Rapha has always worked: blending performance wear with sophisticated design while building a global community of passionate riders.

BEYOND THE RULEBOOK

Sure, the fancy moving sculpture by Isabel+Helen drew crowds – it was stunning. But the real magic was in the stories. Every corner revealed another cycling maverick who'd torn up the rulebook. From those early Kings of Pain days to today's boundary-pushers in Iten, you could trace how Rapha's been quietly rewriting what's possible on two wheels.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE BIRTHDAY PARTY

The whole week had this brilliant mix of looking back and pushing forward. Riders swapped stories over coffee between group rides. Die-hard fans hunted down limited editions while newcomers pored over the Future of Cycling Manifesto. It wasn't your typical anniversary party – more like a gathering of cycling's most interesting characters, past and present.

REBELS ON WHEELS

Maybe that's what sets Rapha apart. They've never just sold cycling gear; they've championed the sport's dreamers and rebels. Whether it's supporting East African athletes or backing Morton's wild adventures, they're still finding new ways to shake things up. Twenty years in, and they're still choosing the interesting route over the easy one.

Stylish, lightweight and robust, the Gravel AL is a fun-igniting off-road machine that blends gravel bike performance with the heart and soul of a mountain bike.

The 2025 Seamless Classic Knit, photographed in magenta lighting, reveals its revolutionary construction. Every line and textured pattern represents the perfect fusion of Rapha's heritage design with cutting-edge knitting technology.
